Some incredible fishing can be had right through the cooler months so let’s add a day of chasing trout to your Utah adventure and outdoor activities this Winter.

Say No To Cabin Fever
The best fishing for this time of year is conveniently also the warmest part of the day so there’s no need to be up at the crack of dawn to rush to the water. Generally, around 11am to 3pm is the sweet spot. Also, with the lower stream flows trout will mostly be in the deeper pools so we won’t have to walk very far to find them. Look for midges to start at around 11-12 most days. Nymphing and dry fly fishing can be great with the warmer, sunny days being best.
Fly fishing is an exceptional outdoor activity no matter what time of year it is so let’s get out, breath in some fresh air and catch some Winter trout.
